    Silkie thread!

The bloated butt baby, it is ok. It depends on how much yolk they had to ingest right before hatching. If that one...

    Silkie Gender?

Every one that I have seen are small. My hen only weighs about 2-3 pounds. My roo probably 5 pounds. They are more fluff than bird.

    Silkie Gender?

It looks like a silkie mix, with what ???? With the bump on the forhead I would say roo. Your silkie is missing his head puff too.

    Brooder too hot!

Welcome to BYC. It sounds like just a 60 watt bulb would work. How warm is it in the house? Plastic holds the heat really well, as ther are not "open" walls for the air to circulate or a breeze to blow through. The kids are fine if they are not handling them a whole lot and just checking on...

    need help with incubation

Let the incubator run for a couple of days and get another thermometer to check for accuracy. Put the eggs in the incubator before adding water because the humidity will go up once you put them in. Turn the eggs 3 times a day so that they do not lay on the same side every night. Start turning...

    HELP ASAP Nevermind solved?

Is the brooder in a building? If it is you can cover it at night to keep the heat in for them. You may have to put 2 heat sources in there. What is the temperature during the day?
