Sad wrinkly looking comb and face

She doesn't look white at all today but I can see a lot more of her skin. Do these look like pin feathers?

    Curious Cackles (CONTEST)

Name: June Gender: Hen Breed: Easter Egger Fun Fact: June is THE loudest chicken in the flock. She loudly squaks at anything she doesn't recognize. And she flies to my shoulder every time I enter the run.

    I REALLY can’t catch a break here! Or a breath 😭

Same situation here. Got our girls in April cause hubby loved the idea and I fell in love with them. Im constantly over worrying about them with our negative temps here in MN. Had no idea I'd care so much or love them as much as I do. The worst we have had is a frostbit comb on one and a cut on...

I have no idea or advice but have to say, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine. It's crazy how much love we have for our birds. RIP Duck Duck 😢

Sad wrinkly looking comb and face

This is my 8 month old RIR girl Hei Hei. She had what I thought was a bout of vent gleet about 2 or 3 months ago that cleared up within a week so I'm not sure if its related but thought it was worth mentioning. I've noticed the last few weeks her comb has been looking more and more sad almost...

    Is this frostbite?

The tips were purplish on Christmas. Yesterday I thought it was looking better. Today it looks like this.

    Frostbite

I imagine this is frostbite? None of my other chickens seem to have an issue and her wattles seem fine. What do I do for her at this point?

Cold snap & first winter with chickens

My 5 chickens have a coop with an attached run that has a roof and is covered with plastic on 3 sides but has an opening on one side under the coop for ventilation. We are having our first cold front tonight and tomorrow with a high of 4 and -32° windchill. Do I still allow them to venture into...

Soft egg and chickens eating them

Nevermind, I removed her. She is broody. She is laying on the wood eggs in the boxes. I watched her pull one from the corner of the box to under her breast. I locked the coop so she couldn't get in. She is NOT happy.

She is now staying away from the other 2 and sleeping in a nest box. I've ever seen any of them do this. Should I pull her out of there or leave her be?

Soft egg and chickens eating them

Thank you both for your responses! New chicken keeping is stressful 😫. I love them so much I just want them to be happy and healthy! I do have wooden eggs in their nesting boxes so at least I'm prepared that way!

Soft egg and chickens eating them

Hello fellow chicken people! I have 3 19 week old Rhode island reds that I have been waiting to lay. I just switched them to dumor organic layer feed last week. They have been really noisy, squatting when I go to pet them, and their combs popped and got super bright so for the past 2 weeks I've...
