    Orpington pullet or roo?

    Thinking about picking these 2 up. I ended up with more Roo’s last time & way out of ratio, I can’t risk on keep getting roosters. My 2 current girls are getting worn out. Anyone more familiar with lavender & buff orpingtons know if these are m/f? Lavender is 9 weeks, buff is 7. Supposedly.

    These are both roosters, correct? The one in the front is attempting to crow, it’s comb came in after the one in the backs comb. They’re both roosters, correct? Their tail feathers look different to me.

    We currently have 4 chickens. 2 female and looks like our 2 orps are male. Will be getting rid of one Roo. How vital is it to get at least 2 more hens? I don’t want them to get hurt from over mating. Any advise appreciated! 😊

    Thank you! The sand was very attractive for cleanliness. I like to hangout with them, and would prefer them to be as clean as possible due to this. I think it almost looks nicer too. I may just see how it goes with deep litter first & then sand at some point. If you have any pros & cons list...

    Thank You! She really is 😭 I’m hoping she is a bit better tomorrow, but it doesn’t seem like her condition is changing. She still eats, drinks, & tries to move around.
