3 year old peahen. Laid one egg two weeks ago and is going through the motions of laying another egg however not acting in the usual manner. Wings dropped and tail down instead of up. She is consta shaking her head as well which may be crop adjusting but I don’t think so.
Also watery black...
Would you put soiled sheets on your bed?
I admire your efforts in attempting to save the environment or what have you.
Instead of putting it in a plastic bag you could always bury it or invest in paper bags to place it in. Cardboard box would work as well.
One of my youngins was nearly pulled through her daytime enclosure. when attempting to drink the water pours out through the wound. And upon examination I can see from her neck out through the back towards her wing.
Anything I can do besides make her comfortable.
I found this company the other day and thought I would share the information for those that are unable afford an expensive vet visit. They do fecal floats and have lab services for parasite diagnosis.

I lost my peacock to what I believe to be cocci. Reason for this line of thought is all symptoms match. Took 4 days from when I noticed it until I lost him.
I treated my peahen immediately. This was 3 weeks ago. She is showing signs of it again.
Does anyone know how often I can treat for...
Unfortunately no vet here has open availability due to hour and staff reduction ....COVID -19. I also now think there is an egg she is attempting to lay. Kind of at a loss on what I should do here.
I have a male and female and the male has gotten overly aggressive with the female so much so that he broke her leg do to over copulating. I have separated them and am now attempting to heal her.
Do I cull the male?
How do I treat a broken leg?
My neighbor actually went through the same thing. Call animal control and have them come get your birds with a police escort. You are going to have to slap the person who took them with a restraining order or no contact to prevent this from occurring again.
