Our peahen got out three days ago. She came back this morning limping. It looks like her middle toe hurts her. I can see no damage. What is your advice?

    Surprise Eggs

Thanks, that is helpful. We have found a total of three eggs, about one per day. It will be interesting to see if they are viable and hatch. Do you have any advice on hatching them out?

I would appreciate your advice; my 1 year old females laid two eggs. I found them this morning when I went in to feed. The males are only a year old also. I thought the girls would not lay eggs until they were two or three. Could you give me some advice? I was surprised.

Need the name of the feed

We bought a 12 x 16 barn for them and fenced in a 16 x 30 ft lot for them. These girls do not want to come out into the yard. They sit on the rafters for hours. Is this normal for cooler weather? Thanks for the advice.

Need the name of the feed

Good morning. We have peafowl and have been told to start feeding them a high protein food when they get older (other than the chick starter we now feed). Now we are in search of reliable information about the feed such as % protein, and where to buy it. Our girls are five months old. Thanks...
