    My girls are 20 weeks old. One is laying, rather irregularly for about a week, and another is starting to be led to the nest by Cogburn, our rooster.     Thanks all! Methinks I had the wrong information! I've called the hatchery and changed my order. I'm going to get 15 Cornish, 5 Buff Orpington and 5 RIR. That way I'll have the meat and the layers.

    I ordered all hens. I've got a nasty rooster, who isn't going to last the weekend, and I'm willing to give up some poundage for the headache of another rooster. They are due the first of October, so I may just have a few for Christmas!
