I've heard about folks who have added power ventilation fans to move the hot air out. Whatever ventilation you make in there is good as long as it isn't drafty... but you could cover the vents partially in the winter.
I wouldn't paint the inside unless you really want to.. extra work
We have a friend who converted part of their shed into a coop. Basically, they build a hutch and attached it to the side of the shed inside. They cut a hole in the side of the shed and made a ramp into a fenced chicken yard.
They still can store other things in the shed - next to and beside...

Eggs are porous, but they have a protective coating (bloom). If you don't have to clean them that is best. If you do, it's best to clean them by rubbing off any soiled areas. If you have to wash them, use hot water. I read somewhere that cold water will cause the egg to draw stuff into it...
Check out this Youtube video. This guy has wheels that jack up the coops so he can move it. Perhaps you could do something like this.
As far as skis go, i'm thinking water skis, not snow skis!
