I just wanted to give all the Rhodebar people a heads up on this auction. Something does not seem straight up about it. I sent Greenfire an email about it and got the below response. I also sent the seller a couple questions and got zero response...
Not real sure on his size but he is pretty large but not as big as the LF black English orps I have. Jeremy, I have not made my first cross to LF black hens yet but I plan to real soon just as soon as my black hens start laying good again.
Thanks for all the kind comments. Here's a couple more pictures I took in the past couple days. One is of a Bantam Chocolate Orp "Marc Sacre Line" the other a Jubilee rooster "Greenfire Line". I think they are all looking nice. My birds molted harder than normal this year but they are starting...
I imported red shoulder blue brahma as well.
As far as importing lots of paper work and a willing party in the country you would like to import from is a good start.
Riverrockfamilyfarm I am just curious where you imported your cream legbar from and also what breeder in that country? I would like to do a little research on that line to possibly add them to my greenfire line in the future. Thanks in advance for your response.
I was moving some of my maiden rocks from the pasture to the pen and thought I would get a few pictures. Still a lot of selecting to do with this breed. They are nice birds to watch free ranging on the farm. As you can see from the picture below they lay a nice blue egg.
I am not real sure about how well they lay as mine have not started to lay. Maybe we can get Greenfire to give us some info on that. One thing I have really enjoyed about them are there huge vulture hocks. I am always stressed about vulture hocks in my Brahma it is a joy for me to have a bird...
Thanks! They are really cool birds and super people friendly. Its to bad America let them slip into extinction long ago. Thankfully Greenfire Farm brought them back from non-existence for all of us to once again let roam.
Not the best picture since my Tolbunts have been free ranging for a few weeks and its rained about 6" in a week. But can you tell this tolbunt hen is frizzled?LOL!
