Our chickens have their favorite bush:

Could she be in shock? This morning we found either fox or racoon poop in our yard... and think we heard the chickens early this morning (very early)

We just had some strawberry tops (not the leaves) Update though, she seems to be a bit better because she sort of ran to a can that we had grit in... not exactly treats lol

Feed them in the morning and night, but make sure their feeder always has some food. They'll peck at it throughout the day

We've been looking for new chickens to add to our flock, have been considering Rhode Island Reds and Australorps, and came across the golden comet: I've seen they lay lots of eggs, are pretty friendly... has anybody had any experience with these chickens and are they good chickens for beginner...

We tried that too. We got the highest protein feed possible, and they still pecked.

It all started when the store we bought our chicks from gave us the WRONG chicks. We ordered eight rhode island reds, and instead got eight brown leghorns. We live close to a city, and although our backyard is pretty big, we were not prepared to have brown leghorns. As soon as we moved them...
