    Got my first egg!!

Yeah she liked the palm cutting which surprised me cuz they're really sharp. But, I just picked up some rolls of chicken wire to wrap around the pen because bunnies are getting in there and eating their seed. So that works out well for the babies too (I'm counting my eggs before they hatch...

    Got my first egg!!

Well she has been sitting on the eggs since yesterday. The last time I saw the nest there was three eggs under her but she could have laid another. I'm so happy hopefully her eggs are fertile!!

    Got my first egg!!

Sunbaked, that must have been quite the show, how cute that would have been to see! Thank you for the encouragement! MinxFox, I know those stubborn birds. I'm so used to chickens laying in the same nest box that I figured the peas would too. Lol, thank you for the help, its been almost a year...

    Got my first egg!!

Ok, thank you MinxFox that's a relief. She has many good options to lay her egg but for some reason she choose there. So knowing that could potentially be a decoy egg is good. I'll let nature take its course. I'm just amazed she laid an egg because I just got her exactly a week ago.

    Got my first egg!!

I went out earlier and my hen was pacing back and fourth and the male has been displaying his tail all day long. I just checked on them and she laid an egg in the pen. Will she sit on it? I don't wanna take it from her because I don't have an incubator so that'd be pointless. Also, she laid...

    I need a parrot mentor!

If they did hatch some eggs you would most likely have to hand feed them. If you let the mother do it they would be skittish and you would have a hard time trying to find the babies a new home. Hand feeding baby parrots should not be taken lightly. They are very sensative to tempature and you...

What kind of animals should I get for my raised beds?

Hello all! We just recently moved to the Nevada dessert and it is finally cooling off to where I think I am gonna try a garden. I am in the process of building 4x8 raised beds. I am only building two due to the fact we live in the dessert. My plan is to build heavy duty tractor type of cages...

    I need a parrot mentor!

ladybirdb12 said it perfectly. Parrots are very smart animals and they need time, love, and care. They are great companions! I have two Double Yellow Headed Amazons and my male (Kahuna) is such a sweetheart yet such a smart A. Literally I swear he mocks me and allot of the time he laughs at me...

    Outdoor aviary birds?

Bobwhite quail would do really good. Before we moved I had them in a pen and we got over a foot of snow and they would still lay eggs every now and then. They had a shelter that was always dry. I also had 4 pairs of piegons and they were fine in the ice cold temps.... I just gave them lots of...
