    Pecking wound on neck

I definitely agree it is strange that this is starting to happen. The aggressive hen is a few years younger than the other hen and she is a leghorn the other hen is a barred rock. They have been in the same environment for about a year. They are in an enclosed coop that has a run. I feel that it...

    Pecking wound on neck

They have been in the same flock for a few years. This is something new. The aggressive Hen began picking on the other hen a few weeks ago. But just recently it became pretty violent with the aggressive hen straddling her and pecking at her neck. We were gone for the weekend and came back to her...

    Pecking wound on neck

One of my hens was severely pecked by another hen. We have isolated the aggressive hen but the other hen has a very nasty wound on the back of her neck. It looks like a hole and it is bubbling and fizzing. Ive never seen a wound do that before. Any suggestions on what I should do?

My Rooster is tearing up one of my hens

Another question I have is how to treat her wound. He cut her under her wing and it looks pretty bad. What should I clean it with?

    Hi!

Hi Everybody! Me and my husband are newbies to having chickens. We live in arizona and have just purchased 6 adorable chicks. We have 3 Ameraucana's, a black sex link, a light Brahma and the other one we are trying to find out. I just posted on the chick breed forum to see if anybody knows.

    Not Sure

Hello, Me and my husband just purchased some chicks for the first time this weekend. There is one we are not sure what she is. The pet depot said she was a buff brahma. I'm thinking shes not. We have a light brahma that has the feathers on her feet but this little one doesn't. Also she is kind...
