Hi again, Yes I do have 2 roosters. 1 was ordered in the batch but we ended up with another. He was late starter in crowing, but is also very protective. He has gone after my 12 year old when he checks for eggs.

We do give oyster shell, but I mix it in with there feed or I sometimes throw some on the ground. For each other how much a day. On Oyster and grit? I don't have seperate closed in nests or cages. How do you seperate your chichens to feed them this?

No they are not all the same breed. The ones that are laying the black ones. Sorry, I don't know the names of the breeds. My husband ordered them.
Now I do question the temperature. It does get over 100 degrees in the desert. But they are shaded and plenty of cooling water.
