    Yes it’s completely normal. I also noticed that chicks with a harder time hatching do take longer to perk up. My Silkies usual are running around by the 3rd/ 4th day

    Thank you 🙏 I wasn’t sure if it would be considered blue or not. I was able to find a breeding chart for splash (BBS) but not paint breeding. Curious if the out comes are similar.

    I was worried about Mareks too. I had each one of my silkie chicks from the same breeder ( 4 of them ) go through this spring. It took about 2-3 days for improvement. They went through it almost one after the other. Now I treat all chicks water a couple times a week. Good luck

    It could be a B vitamin deficiency. I use Rooster Booster brand B vitamin. You can dose the chick individually and also treat the water for the other chicks as a preventative.

    They look to be about the right size for the bantam eggs. Mine look similar at 14 days.
