Bought “sexed” chicks from the feed store, confirm my suspicions that this is a cockerel???

Unfortunately where I live roosters are not allowed. The feed store will not take them back, I’ve already asked. I will post him online locally and see if I get any takers. If not, I guess I figure something out. I’m sure someone will want him.

Bought “sexed” chicks from the feed store, confirm my suspicions that this is a cockerel???

    Easter Egger? He or She?

Thank you everyone, I appreciate all of the information. I did not know that they could lay a different color egg than from what they were hatched so that is very interesting.

    Easter Egger? He or She?

    Easter Egger? He or She?

Precisely, I have two Rhode Island’s, a Golden Comet, these three alleged EE’s, a Black Shuman, two 4 month pullets that are olive eggers, and two White Cochins at the moment so I definitely had nothing to compare to. Plus I have 9 more chicks my mom hatched in her classroom coming soon so I’ll...

    Easter Egger? He or She?

Yeah, all three of mine were hatched at the same time and the one that is clearly a pullet has a much lighter and less pronounced comb. But the other who is very clearly a cockerel has pronounced long and curved plumes already, this one is like half and half, lol. And I do have some other hens...

    Easter Egger? He or She?

Also, she wasn’t sure if they were actually Easter Eggers, hence why I am unsure.

    Easter Egger? He or She?

These photos are all of the same chicken, I posted the photos that were suggested in the guidelines. You’d like more of just this one? Like an up close of tail and profile?

Long time chicken owner, first time group member

Hello, I had backyard chickens most of my childhood but not as an adult, now that I have started a flock of my own I have found this page to be a helpful resource for all of my questions and concerns. Thanks for having me!

    Easter Egger? He or She?

I was given three chickens; was told they were Easter Eggers but I am unsure of breed and have one that is clearly a pullet, one is clearly a cockerel and the third is a mystery. I’m hoping someone here can help! Hatched 4/4 or 4/5
