Easter Egger? He or She?

I was given three chickens; was told they were Easter Eggers but I am unsure of breed and have one that is clearly a pullet, one is clearly a cockerel and the third is a mystery. I’m hoping someone here can help!

Looks like an EE to me... I'm guessing this one is a cockerel just based on the amount and redness of the comb. My two EEs have no red in their combs yet and they are a week or two ahead of yours.

Yeah, all three of mine were hatched at the same time and the one that is clearly a pullet has a much lighter and less pronounced comb. But the other who is very clearly a cockerel has pronounced long and curved plumes already, this one is like half and half, lol. And I do have some other hens with big combs/waddles, so with that in mind I’ve been frustrated trying to figure this one out. And never having had EE’s before I had no personal experience to compare to.

Hopefully you will get a few other opinions here soon! I do see others say that the male specific feathers usually do not start coming in until 12 weeks (but there are always early and late bloomers). And then my mixed flock also keeps me guessing because the different breeds all have different body shapes and tail shapes and combs. Makes guessing difficult!

Precisely, I have two Rhode Island’s, a Golden Comet, these three alleged EE’s, a Black Shuman, two 4 month pullets that are olive eggers, and two White Cochins at the moment so I definitely had nothing to compare to. Plus I have 9 more chicks my mom hatched in her classroom coming soon so I’ll be determining sex on more in the next few months.

Sounds like you have a lovely mix though! I'm jelly of your Olive Eggers, don't have any of those yet!

EE can lay green eggs also some lay blue others lay brown
