    Are Sandhill birds generally healthy?

They are old fashioned. They do everything by mail. Remember they run a big operation which includes birds, seeds and others.

Avoid Efowl, check all the bad reviews. Research first before ordering from some places or ask here, you'll be directed to the reputable people.

    Purchasing options

TSC sell straight run and pullets. There are some places you can order a minimun of 5 like Cackle, Meyer, Randall Burke, however the shipping cost is high. TSC also has a program that you can order some chicks, have them delivered to your home, has more selection of breeds and shipping is...

    exportation of chicks

Most of hatcheries post in their websites they don't export chicks. You might be able to import adult birds or juvenile into Trinidad, however you'll have to find out your country rules into importing birds. This process is normally expensive. Depending on the breed you want, can give a try to...

    Are Sandhill birds generally healthy?

You got a very good ratio. 1 rooster out of 6 chicks is very good. It supposed to be 50/50. They sell only straight run chicks. Buying straing run is a gamble, you can get more pullets or more roos.

Does my Rooster know something I don't??

He's a very good rooster. He's showing/teaching the pullets where they should lay their eggs. He'll try mating them when they are close to maturity or laying age. The pullets might be too young now, but eventually they will follow his guidance.

    Purchasing a coop

Check craigslist. I have seen locals in my area advertising chicken coops or sheds, some are reasonable, others are expensive. Some even offer delivery to your home for a small fee. A shed can easily be converted into a coop. You can get really cheap and good quality windows for sale in...
