Yes, just set my first lots of eggs (36 pure breed eggs) in my new incubator on Sunday 14th NZ time! White Orpingtons, Light Sussex, Coronation Sussex, RIR, Blue Leghorn & 1 Blue Wyandotte. Never tried hatching before so fingers crossed for success!! Good luck with yours.
I have just set 36 pure breed eggs in my new incubator having read detailed forum advice here about incubating eggs, my main interest being getting the humidity right and not having it as high as the incubator instruction manual so as to not drown the chicks upon hatching. I had read on here...
Thank you! I bought her yesterday and she has settled in beautifully. The little family are in a chicken tractor until the chicks grow older. I don't really mind what breed she is, as I would just love her to hatch some pure breed eggs I buy next time she goes broody. Just would be lovely...

UPDATE:- It's two weeks on and hubby has just taken some more photos tonight of our little Wyandotte. What do you think now? 'She' was from a breeder but I don't know if she is pure bred. I think 'she' is 8.5 weeks old now. I really want it to be a pullet cos I can't keep a boy.
Thank you all so much for your wonderful words of wisdom and photos. I've loved looking at all of these and they are a fantastic resource! I'll keep you updated on any progress! Just thought you might like to see my hen house in our backyard. It was delivered two weeks ago. Then I paved...
