We hatched out chicks about a year ago. There were two roosters and they get along fine. The only problem I have is the less dominant rooster will NOT shut up... I kid you not he crows 24/7, you can go out any hour of the day or night and he is crowing. He is also mean.... There are times...
yes blue eyes are a fault in arabians but they still can be shown just not in halter.
Are the papers signed? If not the first thing you will have to do is get her sires owner to sign the papers. IF they wont sign them then call AHA but I am not sure that will do any good unless by chance he...
I am NOT sure that anything got mom but I am sure she left them... at closer look at the dead ones this evening I noticed that one was half eaten. Like I said I would NOT have bothered them had they 1. not been dead ones and 2 they were not under a bale I use for the horses.
I will look into...
we have a mini rex lop in the house only ours in is a huge hutch ( they sell them at tractor supply). He is in the basement where it is cooler. He has his own personal fan as well.
I will tell you that although we have no problems with our bunny.. he didnt stay small like yours very long...
I HIGHLY suggest HG Esquire. His owner is a wonderful woman to work with not to mention "E" stamps his foals with his personality, trainability and looks
Her website is Gainey Cornerstone arabians and sporthorses
I went out to do chores and as I went to get some hay I noticed a dead newborn bunny so I scooped it up and moved it away from the horses hay. I then moved the hay around and found another one dead and one that was in extreme distress (very very very cold, wet and rigid but alive) then I dug...
Thank you so much. I was sort of confused with the variety. I didnt think they needed a layer feed since the hens are still so young, but still didnt know for sure.
our chicks are 7 weeks old now and growing by leaps and bounds. I still have them in the house since it has been so very hot and my husband doesnt have their coop ready yet. :)
We have 5 chicks 2 of which are roos. So can someone give me a suggestion on what to switch them to. I looked...
yes they are very pretty and very spoiled. It didnt take them long to train ME that is for sure. I have learned that some form of fruit or vegi treat is in order at least once a day. :)
They are 100% pure chickens...
no need to feel like a party pooper. These chickens are family pets only.. we dont plan to breed and sell chicks or show them.
They are just a part of our ever growing group of critters that we love.
They all hatched from light brown eggs.. not sure that makes a hill of beans or not LOL
The 4-H expo was this past week and we looked the chickens over really well (found a few that I would like to have. LOL) and to us the andalusions looked the most like ours. The feet/leg color, feather color, the way they held themselves.. just looked a lot like ours only bigger of course.
So...
thank you for your input.. it is much appreciated.
We got them from one of the ladies who runs the homeschool office and she got them from someone at church. So i am not sure what they are.
These guys/gals are all 5 weeks old now and I am pretty sure I have two roos as they bicker with each other, no feather pulling just bullying. LOL Any guesses on sex and a breed or mix would be a nice addition as well.
#1 I think is a roo
#2 I am almost sure is a roo this one has one...
