i am new to chickens but i thought it is used in the chicken's dust bin. BUT i was told that it is dangerous to inhale the dust. I myself use First Saturday Lime and DE and then put pine shavings for my coop floor. But it does get dusty so i use a mask. I think i should have used DE sparingly...
