Hi all,
Soo just wanting some advice..
I have 2 duck eggs at Day 22 but they have differing issues:rolleyes:
1 was a big egg - 79.8g
The other 65.1g
My problem is that the smaller egg has lost about 15% of its weight
But the big one has only lost 9%
Is it a risk to the little one if I lower...
These are the ducklings, 2x yellow. 2x yellow with brown tips, 2x pale brown and 3x dark brown with varying yellow around the bills-1 has developed a little bit of yellow on the back of the neck that I’m sore wasn’t there initially. I feel pretty confident the yellow will become silver but the...
I have some 1week ducklings that I am curious what colour they will be. Parents were runner x pekin (pictured below) female was silver but not sure what colour you call the drake-he has the green head etc but is also grey spotted. He was dark brown when I got him, then brown almost like scales...
So I just helped the last couple, they were pipped in word places and were not making progress-the membrane seemed to be doing even tho humidity was at 70-75% so I just went stuff out and helped them to a point then put them back in to finish themselves-all good so far 9/10 and considering they...
So I helped it but it had died in the shell. Was very big, sad but I think it had likely died in the night tbh. Don’t think we could have done anything. On a good note another is about to hatch
So this egg has cracked all the way aroma but nothing further. I can’t see a break in the membrane but bits of it have been exposed for a while. Maybe saws slight wiggle but not really moving. Should I do something???
Just wondering how long people leave them in the incubator before moving to the brooder. The first one is moving around trying to eat everything I know they can stay in the bator for a couple of days, but just wondered what makes people move them out. Advice?
Thank you! Just had another hatch! So we are at 2. Nearly all of the eggs had some form of crack by this morning so will see what happens. Will try and get some pictures but is sleeping in the back at present
4 others have pipped and are moving in response so who knows by morning! I had been checking tonight as despite the humidity being very stable-tonight it has been playing up and came in just in time to see him/her pop out!
