I have 2 Drake 7 month old Rouens who are hand raised and very tame but need a new home.
They have been diapered and indoors in the evenings and are quite used to the routine.
If you are in the area contact me.
They eat Nutrena brand all Flock Pellets and what ever they dig up out of the sand. We are located in Central Florida and the temps now are in the 80's. They always have fresh water available and a small pool, which I don't understand why they choose it most of the time. they are in the pen in...
I have 2- 5 mo old rouens and they seem healthy but I noticed their beaks are peeling a fine layer off. is this nornal? they do dig around in sand for soil.
Thanks for any info
It's official.........I have 2 boys.......Yay, they got a new outdoor kennel today, but still come in to sleep in the shower at night. still waiting for the tail curled feather, but at 10.5 wks its a go.
Thanks for the info, about the time I think one is darker than the others then they both look the same. one is starting to get the grey/ white feather tips. At what age are they fully grown?
Does this give any clues of sex? I did a video but not a peep from either of them. will try again after work, when they are good and mad at me for draining the pool. I really appreciate all the input as I'd rather part with them then to cause any harm or distress to either.

I have 2 - 5 wk old rouens and still not sure of the sex.......what if they are both males......will they get along? or be frustrated. they both have dk green bills and I can't tell by their voice, both are quiet and just peep. Now I worry if they will fight if it turns out to be 2 males...
Thanks so much for the quick reply. I'd read somewhere that they tend to overeat the grit so wasn't leaving it down, just hand feeding it occasionally to monitor intake. Am I correct in thinking that they get grit from the sand in the soil? we are in Fl. so sand is available. I'm just now...
I have 2- 5 wk old rouen ducks and bring them in to stay in the shower (bed) at night. I leave food and water available at all times. wonder if it would be ok to keep food out. in hopes of lessening the gifts on paper in the morning. Also should grit be available and how much is too much for...
