How long are the deck pieces you used and what are the dimensions of the coop? Love this idea though. I have always wanted my own hobbit home.

Great coop it looks nice and has lots of space. Like all the pictures of each step. Was the 12 x 6 lumber treated that you put down first? Here in Arizona we have problems with termites and skunks trying to dig under the coops so we put a lot of rocks under our walls so it isn't as easy to dig.

I have had a mixed flock for about 5 years now in Vail, AZ. We let them free range during the day and then lock them in the coops at night

I have some chickens that I want to breed, but the ladies were with my mixed flock and I want to make sure they breed with the rooster I have them in with now so I get the same type. They are Giant Black Jersys I think. How long do I need to keep them with the Giant Jersey Black Rooster...
