LOL we can come up with some funny names ,huh? We figured Rags was good for him since he kinda went from rags to riches so to speak. And the little sneaky Foxie acts and even at times looks like a little fox.
She was Dobbie and he was named Chong after Cheech and Chong and Dobbie after a pot...
So pretty. Hubby said it reminded him of a dog he had as a young teen named Mr. Cool. His mother told him hubbys dog was loose to go get him. His dad said whats his name, when she told him it was Mr. Cool he said " I be darn if I'm going down the road hollering Mr Cool".
Put hens lay everyday and they are 4 years old this month. One brooding on about 18 eggs now. This will be their first biddies if they hatch. This rooster is homeless and just started going with them 2 weeks ago. He just came up and wouldn't leave so we kept him.
We are too so far only a few bad habits to break. But some they can't help like pooping on the porch. Next week once they are more use to us and gain weight their health is better we will teach them how to behave.
A picture of them taken day they arrived with their owner in background. The two smaller ones are ours now. Sorry if picture isn't clear.Camera is old ,like us and they move around like jack rabbits.
Thank you for the help. It has been a trying day for us with the new dogs who are basically wild. Lots of storms coming in today to add to the fun.:highfive:😖
We are now dealing with two new dogs, very malnourished sister and brother, same litter 1 yr old. They arrived here Mar.19th ,5 days ago.
Has been an interesting 5 days. They have been on a chain most of their life so lots of issues. Thank goodness the female has been spayed last sept and both...
We don't have a lot either. This young rooster came up about 2 months ago. He first walked around for a few days then we just kept him, He looks healthy, he is barred rock. Our hens are Black Sexlinks. I think that is their breed, part BR and Part RIR.
Thank you for the help C.poppy.
