    Dumor VS Purina

Let's talk feed... What do you prefer? I used to always feed Dumor feeds, and recently I switched to the Purina. Start/Grower specifically. I almost feel like my bird held better condition on the Dumor feed. With Purina being a vegetarian diet, I question how healthy this is... As I am a...

    Need Ideas For Breeding Pens

I do not want the feathers torn up, and muddy. Nor do I want to deal with predators that it will draw in, and everything else. These birds are being kept as close to show condition as possible. However everyone is going to be living in a horse stall in the mean time, bedded nicely, feeders and waterers on...

    Crumbles vs Pellets

I have a pair of bantam cochins, and I give them layer crumbles, grit, and a little handful of scratch once a day. However, they are VERY wasteful with the crumbles. They flip the feeder, scratch it out, and or scratch it all around and then it is mixed with bedding. I give crumbles because that...

    Bantam Cochins and Heat

What are everyone's experiences with bantam Cochins and the heat? I live in north eastern, PA. And just got a lovely lovely pair. They were pretty expensive and I like them a lot so I am being a bit of a worrier. My hot temps are 80-85 it rarely even gets above that. Their cage outside is shaded...
