    I have had the same thing, she would even lay the soft eggs from the perch, in the poop, and not in the next box. As if they are rejects. The addition of oyster shells, mixed with the food fixed it.

    Hard to tell from the picture, and the long silky feathers, but those do look like long saddle feathers that the boys have.
