thank you for your response!! the poop in the photo is fresh, she didn’t seem to have any issue (straining) passing it. she’s 5 days old. today she is very stumbley, she doesn’t walk well at all. i feed them purina unmedicated start and grow. the other 2 are so lively and fluffy in comparison...
hi everyone!! i just picked up 3 new chicks on friday (welsummer, cuckoo maran & a legbar). the welsummer and the legbar are doing just fine but my maran has low energy, she looks thin, and both her wings are very very droopy. i’ve been taking her out of the brooder a few times a day to feed...
UPDATE!!!! thanks for your help everyone, good news! apparently i didn’t search hard enough bc they were in my garage! all 8 babies are safe in their coop, praise the Lord!
thank you for your response! 2 legged?! like a human?! i checked my cameras but i didn’t see anything:( a fox would make sense i guess but they don’t hunt in packs do they? i guess it’s possible that one was taken from this world, and the other 2 got scared and hid....
but wouldn’t there be blood? or feathers or tracks or something? i mean there was literally no sign of a struggle or anything....maybe they are hiding, but they never split up like this!😰

i have a flock of 8 (5 are just shy of 16 weeks old and the other 3 are 14 weeks). they free range on my property until i put them to bed at around 4-5 pm (hour varies, but...
hi all! i really want to do hot wire/electric fence around the outside of my run (and also maybeee the exterior of coop windows), but i’m a total newbie to all this so i’ve just been looking at different types of wire and product reviews online. if anyone has a set up they really like could you...
definitely keep their heat lamp on. tell your parents not to switch it off anymore, and if you can’t ensure heat for them, consider rehoming. best of luck!!
hey everybody! i have five 3-week-old chickies. 2 EE’s, and 3 NH reds. they’re all *mostly* feathered at this point and one of my NH reds is so much lighter in color than the others. i want to get y’all opinions, is it possible she’s a different breed?
ok follow up question on the topic of coons and doorknobs....the doorknob on my coop door has a lock. like an actual lock that you need a key for. am i good in assuming a raccoon can’t pick a lock lol? i’m trying to be extremely proactive bc i’m already so in love with these birds.
