definitely keep their heat lamp on. tell your parents not to switch it off anymore, and if you can’t ensure heat for them, consider rehoming. best of luck!!

yeah its 3 am now, I woke my mum up, she said nah leave it off

I said people on the chiken site said they need it on

she siad nah leave it

I said didnt u say u and dad gave me the chiken yesterday

(I didnt ask for the chikens by the way)

I said u gona put the heat lamp tomorow she said nah, then said maybe if its cold

she said well see, I want to show u the shit rom there shed

I said r u giving me ilusion of choice, u already made up ur mind with wat ur gona do to the chikens? sell? or kill?

she said she wants to go sleep, I said ok cya

I see the chiks in living room, there quiet, no light, dark, they dont look bothered tho
there not really hugging each other, there sleeping abit close together, but not very

she also said its not her chikens, so cant give to me, but I said u and dad both started talking to me two days ago saying do u want it. I didnt want responsilibkt but I said yeah ok.

so I gues the chiks are fine? I dont know

I can only think of puting them in my room, but im allergic abit, or paying some electricity for the heat lamp, but proly other stuff will come up

they were huddled together in the dark, but they werent chirping loud

I turned on the light to make a vid to show, but as soon I tunred the kitchen light on, they started walking around

anyways heres the vid, they seem ok?

internet says its 14 c right now 3 30 am

I grabed them in the vid, to see if there hot, out of 100 50 being normal, they were like 45 out of 100

Is the internet temperature outdoor temperature or inside? Your chicks have lots of feathers by now, they are about 3 weeks old? What's your temperature inside the house?

The person I got my chicks from bantams - she took them off heat beginning of 4th week - she used a heat plate not light
when they were about 6 weeks she starts hardening them off out in day a bit then bit more each day then in a coop with run outside

Just a suggestion but chicks like it better if you pick them up with the palm of your hand under their chest. They feel safer and they might gain trust with you.

They look comfortable to me and have a good amount of feathers. They should be at the point where you can start taking the light out for a time (just keep anher eye on their behavior. If they start to huddle to much then they need it on again. If it's still nice and warm out during the mid day they should be able to take short trips outside to. The fresh greens are good for them. But then again keep an eye on them and the temps to be safe. It all depends on your specific climate.

I think thats the temperature outside

I brought two thermomters
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Wireles...216832?hash=item342dc57d80:g:CFQAAOSwsNNfESg3 and the batteries would run out in a day

I brouh another thermomter https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Marina-Aquarium-Thermometer-With-Suction-Cup-Fish-Tank-Water-Temperature-Meter/373079118080?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 and it didnt stick to the plastic container, so I put it in my room, then it shattered into pieces

yeah they hatched 22 sept , like 3 weeks old

I dont know how to get temp in the house
