    Cockerels or hens?

It's not unfortunately...they are quite entertaining. Fingers crossed we'll be able to rehome them 🙂

    Cockerels or hens?

    They are all 14/15 weeks

Anyone have any pictures of 14 week old Golden laced, or silver laced Wyandotte’s?

These are my silver laced at 14/15 weeks. I've been told they are male but I have a Vorwerk cockerel at the same age and he is twice their size and has started crowing. No such signs from either of these other than being more aggressive towards the hens 🤷

    Cockerels or hens?

As an update to this thread the Vorwork is definitely cockerel and he started crowing a couple of weeks ago. The silver laced are significantly smaller than he is and I don't know if that's something to do with breed or the fact that they are hens and not cockerels but there are no signs from...

How to stop water trough getting full of rubbish!

So we have moved the flock into their coop a little earlier than planned as it so warm here now and to give them a little more space. However their water trough has been constantly full of dirt, soil, hay, sawdust ever since! How do I stop this?

I'm in the UK so I changed mine to 35% but after lockdown when we pushed the humidity up to 65+ the sensor went so we had to dismantle and bypass. Attached pics from threads on here that talk you through what to do. Need more help DM me 🙂

Day 24 eggtopsy (graphic images) ADVICE PLEASE 💔

Yes going to replace the thermometer in the incubator with a brand new one. Then recalibrate everything and try a dry hatch. The humidity here is around 35 so that should be sufficient then push it up after lockdown. I'm also going to try weighing the eggs rather than relying on aircell size...

    May 2020 Hatch-A-Long

Yes I got a secondary one that sits in with the eggs, not just hanging down from the top so I'm confident the temp and humidity was good. I'm going to take the advice from others on here and try a different breeder. Then I'll know if the problem is my setup. Thanks!

Day 24 eggtopsy (graphic images) ADVICE PLEASE 💔

Yes candled them and there was no movement. Doesn't seem to have been any internal pips either. There was quite a lot of liquid inside that I could see too.
