Chick still in the incubator and moving about fine but I think something is wrong. It's bum looks egg-like, there's a little (umbilical?) cord thing coming out of it and a sort of dried up small raisin-type thing at the end of it. The chick doesn't seem distressed.
Any ideas? Any hope...
We have an AGA (cast iron stove that is on permanently) so no fire risk. Hmmm, maybe meltage. Sounds as though the light bulb would be the best option.

100watt incandescent bulbs have recently been outlawed by European regulations (I know, I know) so the highest we can buy is 60watt but I can ring around. Would you say the stove thing is a bad idea? I could set the brooder up...
