A little over 3 months old, 'Barb' was raised by us from a chick. We were hoping to raise a female but unfortunately, that's not the way it shook out. He comes from a healthy flock – raised with 3 other chicks and integrated with 3 adults. We would love to keep him but we're not set up for daily...
Update: we rehomed the young rooster earlier this week. He has a small flock to grow into and protect, lots of land in rural Lockhart, and lots of love from his new family. Success!
Hi I'm in Austin and looking to rehome a young abandoned rooster I found. Someone suggested I try this forum. I would guess he's around 10 weeks, maybe an Australorp, healthy and happy. Please message me if you're interested. Thanks!
Sure. We have a small (4 bird) flock in urban Austin who are very happy. They're not really looking for a guy! If we had more space we'd consider it but crowing could be a problem where we live and we don't want any chicks right now. We also have two small dogs and don't want to risk him being...
We took in a stray/abandoned baby rooster but cannot keep him. I'm unsure of his breed but he's in good health and a happy little guy. I would guess he's around 10 weeks old.
Please reach out if you're interested or know anyone who may be.
We're in Austin, TX.
Thanks!
