Turns out pekin was a male, and so was the Brahma :( in fact, so is the younger fourth member of my flock, a young Cochin, that I didn't post about. The Sussex was the only female! Sigh :(
Ive never had an araucana before, so I can't be sure. And my young hens used to dance fight quite a bit when they were that age, and sometimes now. Just sorting out the pecking order, although the males do it too.
