    No they do not. That I realized was a mistake when I diagnosed this guy. I still don’t provide them with grit but I let them forage around in the yard now under supervision so they can pick up their own grit.

    Yep. I’m actually working with a bird that has it now that’s about the same age and she has almost recovered. I sadly couldn’t that very medication so I used coconut oil.

    Coconut oil fights the yeast infection while olive oil allows the movement of the blockage that creates sour crop

    Also use coconut oil or olive oil if it stays full and malleable in the morning and gently massage her crop in a circular motion. And yes if the crop was flat when you were inspecting her. coccidiosis would be the best bet

    Ok don’t feed her anymore at all and wait until morning with her isolated. If it is flat in the morning you could keep her with food and make sure it empties again the next morning then release her

    You should take away all food for 24 hours. Give her a dose of apple cider vinegar and some coconut oil. You will most likely have to force feed her this.     Take her away from the other chickens for a day and see how she does. Keep feeding her regularly and if her crop doesn’t empty by morning and is still soft then she might have sour crop

    If it is in fact pendulous crop then I would suggest a crop bra. Although it doesn’t seem like it.

    Has she ever had crop problems? If she has that could be pendulous crop. If she hasn’t and the crop is empty then she’ll be fine. Just make sure she isn’t lethargic or isolating herself.

    Thank you for your advice! Yes the chick is 2 months old. Also what am I supposed to feed her? I am afraid that she isn’t getting enough nutrients. Finally is there some sort of non prescribed medication I can give her for the yeast?
