    I’m not an expert but I do keep & breed my polish & I say you have a cockerel but gold laced polish can be very tricky. I do see some pointy ends to his feathers on his crest & maybe the tail as well. @Saraschickens

    This is an old post but I do know that crossing a white silkie to a black silkie will produce paint chicks, as far as breeding a black to a buff I would expect it to be mixture of the two colors in one bird, with that being said I’m not 100% sure on that one but I’d love to know what color...
