In my experience, the more handling and tame I have had my roosters be, the more aggressive they have become. In the case of roosters, a little fear of humans translates to healthy respect.
I know you can't tell cockerel from pullet for most breeds when they are young, so I am just writing...
This gives me hope... cuz I tried the "surgery" which took me 1.5 hrs (having never done it before!) and neosporin packed and wrapped. When I took off the bandage 3 days later the scab was back and the swelling the same!! So finally the Tricide Neo I ordered arrived, and I have been soaking my...
Wondering if anyone knows what this is, and how to treat it?!
Its a hard, dark bump (like a pebble). Its on the bottom of her padded part of her foot. Causes her to limp. I want to treat it if possible, to try to make sure it doesn't get worse.
A gal I know that has raised chicks for awhile now, said that the Momma "talks" to her eggs. They peep a day or 2 before hatching, so maybe she kinda gets to know them that way before hatching? Also, it's a good suggestion to wait til about the 20 day mark of her sitting on "eggs" before giving...

I'd like to take at least some of my...

I am looking into vitamin supplements currently.
