I have a chick that does the same- not a silkie, but the same things. We left him to dry off as it is summer, and now he just doesn't do it- whether its to show the girls that his not immature, i dont know, but he doesn't do it anymore. Hopefully your chick will stop it soon
The two at the back are the hens... the blacks are sex-linked cross, the two whites not at the front are isa browns cross, and the white at the front is the coloumbian wynedotte cross, all cross plymouth rock, barred(we were told he was barred, but the hackles are covering the barring.)
