    I have a few chicks almost a week old, and was wondering if and when to introduce some type of grit? If so whay type is best for chicks, and is there a different type for when their very older?

    I've got a question that hopefully y'all could answer. Is there any benefits to having a pure bred chicken, over a mixed breed? Does it effect there egg laying, life span, etc... the reason I ask is I was give a few chicks that had just hatched, and I've never messed around with mixed breeds.thanks.

    Hello from Oklahoma

    Fairly new to the sight, but I've been piddling with it for awhile. I've been a chicken enthusiasts pretty much my whole life. I had several chickens when I was younger but had to get rid of them due to my busy life, but I've managed to take on a couple of chickens recently.
