Peep is a good one! He is just a chick but I think its a he. It is hard to tell since he is a stick drawing... but maybe a baby Leghorn? The yellowness and big comb look kinda like a Leghorn chick that we had. I am stumped on what those other chickens are. Why can't chickens in movies be easier...
@jonnygiant I am SO envious! I have always wanted a White Polish. They are just gorgeous.
@BaileyMChicks I have never had a Mottled Houdan so you might be right. From my experience, it looks like a White Crested Black Polish. Please do not judge as I am definitely not an expert!

What pretty little birds. That white one might be an Austra White...where did you get them? Beautiful young ladies, for sure!
Meanwhile, my little Afrodite is just the spunkiest little thing! We added an Americana chick to the mix and Afro instantly took to her, like love at first sight. She...
@jonnygiant That first one might be an Araucana or Americana or Easter Egger (honestly, I think they are basically the same). Did it look like a chipmunk when it was a baby? I know that sounds like a strange question but that is the best description of baby Americanas.
The second one looks...
Ok. I haven't had any experience with small, local hatcheries. I am always using the big ones like Mcmurray and Cackle. It sounds like your chick has a pretty darn good chance of being a pullet, with 95% percent. Good luck with your little sweetie!

@xLittleSilkieX Silkies, I have heard, are really hard to sex because of their unique feather attribute. Could you maybe get a better picture? The one on here is kinda unclear. Maybe closeups of the head could help a bit... I really don't have much experience with Silkies but I will try to help...
Hi!
That first one looks like Golden Laced Wyandotte to me. The last chick is a Welsummer. I don't know about the other ones, maybe with some better pics....? The white one is really pretty, though. You definitely scored with some little cuties! Now you just have to hope that they are hens...
What a wonderful contest! There are so many good entries.
mvawdre2, that is beautiful! Lakenvelders are quite stunning birds are you made a delicious and pretty one. I hope that you get your dream bird someday!

Don't I know it! I was on here like every day to research stuff and then finally I realized that getting an account might be fun...
And I was right.

Hello everyone!
Chickens are such awesome animals that they show up in movies and TV shows a lot. I thought it might be fun if we tried to figure out what breed these chickens are. I will share some and give my guesses. Then you guys can share some more if you have some and throw in some of your...
Thanks again everyone for all the comfort. Little Dozy really was a hard fighter. I think that something was messed up with her innards. Her vent was swollen and red like something inside just wasn't right. And she hadn't grown at all. Thanks so much to all those helpful folks who jumped on the...
Just fell asleep with the little "afro peep" passed out in my hand. I only love her more every day! She kept waking up and peeping to wake me up and as soon as I woke up she would go back to sleep. She is the feistiest out of all the chicks and she is just so CUTE!
