    Is this egg fertile?

    Currently, I have an all silkie flock. The majority of the flock are either hens or chicks but I do have two almost-6 month old mystery chickens that could be roosters or hens. I thought this is way too young for either of them (if they are roosters) to fertilize eggs, but I cracked one today...

    Okay well I first noticed it pipped this morning (14 hrs ago)... Should I consider intervening if it goes 24 hrs without zipping? If not, at what point should I intervene (ie: 36hrs, 48) ? Thanks, and yes I am trying to find him a friend.

    Okay, it is wobbling around a lot... and it IS pipped... I just want to confirm before I open it that I should add water and raise humidity..... Correct? and risk having the chick cemented into its shell?
