When will my egg hatch?

Yes, if you are confident you are in the last couple of days then it's time to raise the humidity to 70-80% and stop turning.

You can wait, but the idea is if it pips just after you go to bed, it may have membrane issues after some hours of a lower humidity. I raise mine at Day 18, and stop turning then.

With those colder periods, it may take an extra day or so to hatch.

You may also want to consider finding at least another chick about the same age, as one chick will get pretty lonely.

Okay, it is wobbling around a lot... and it IS pipped... I just want to confirm before I open it that I should add water and raise humidity..... Correct?
and risk having the chick cemented into its shell?

Yes, you need to increase the humidity, even more important now that it's pipped.

WOrk as quick as possible without making mistakes, have your water warm and sponges/buckets or how ever you are doing it laid out and ready.

Good work, now just keep and eye on the %, should come up pretty quickly, then if it's where you want it, sit back and wait. May take a day before it starts to zip, but once that begins it does not take too long before they are flopping about.

They can live in there without food or water for a couple of days, so don't be too quick to take it out, make sure it is dry first, and your brooder is set up and warm before the chick comes out of the incubator.

Have you considered finding it a friend?

Okay well I first noticed it pipped this morning (14 hrs ago)... Should I consider intervening if it goes 24 hrs without zipping? If not, at what point should I intervene (ie: 36hrs, 48) ?
Thanks, and yes I am trying to find him a friend.
