If anyone has any hatching eggs in the area of Legbars or Marans and they're NPIP/AI I'd love to hear from you. I'll be visiting and would love to get some new bloodlines
I'm looking for some new blood for my flock. I'm going to be visiting SLC and if anyone is NPIP/AI and either Legbars or Marans hatching eggs. I'd love to hear from you.
Our weather all of a sudden is super high humidity and yesterday I noticed some of the hens sound a little "congested" and seem to cough almost. There' no sign of egg bubbles, not noticing any stuff flying out when they cough/shake their head. I've picked up a couple and I'm not seeing any wet...
OK. And is that a white or will it turn to have markings? It's the first one to show up, in any of my hatches and I've sold eggs and none of the folks have said anything about getting a chick this color.
So I wanted to post here and ask. I had a hatch yesterday morning. All of the chicks but 1 are marked normally but this one chick. So after reading this does this mean it will turn colors and have markings or will it just be white?
I know this isn't a super new thread but... I have Cream Legbars and this little cutie hatched yesterday. Are these sexable at hatch like the rest of the Legbars? This one appears to have no markings.
And they all have yellow legs. And yes, Legbar Roo over Welsummer hen. Sigh I've looked and looked and even reached out to the breeder where I got the Legbar eggs from and she wasn't able to help. I really don't want to grow all these chicks out I really really don't. But I just bought 2...
Well I thought I had everything perfect so no mixing and somehow during hatching some of my chicks got mixed in with each other. Now I'm stuck as I don't know which is Legbar and which isn't. HELP My gut says yellow dot is Olive Eggers but 2nd guessing myself
I did 3 chicks pictured at...
Just for reference how exactly did you do that? I have a couple of olive eggers and one lays some very nice dark olive eggs but I'm not sure which one it is.
I was wondering if anyone had a sure way to tell the difference in Cream Legbar eggs vs Easter Egger eggs. I want to get some CL eggs from someone. She however says she's also go a couple of EEs in her flock but not to worry even though they're the same color they're easy to tell apart. I have...
So far it's going good and temps are holding steady. I was beyond mad I had Crested Cream Legbars, Whiting True Blue over CCL, and Olive Eggers in there.
I had to re-set eggs thanks to a darn Farm Innovations incubator had gotten it new set it up Thursday put eggs in Friday and friday evening it went to 106 degrees for an uncertain amount of time. I have them redone and there's 41 in there currently. I did mine on Saturday evening.
Did anyone figure out what they used to come up with this because I truly am in love and I am tempted oh so tempted to buy some from them with also the Sage egger. I have Maran hens, but they don't lay super dark. I have Crested Cream Legbar Roos and right now I have access to Whiting True Blue...
