I would assume they are not going to hatch anymore, for whatever reason some just don't make it out the egg, day 23 is a little bit to late for me personally. I would discard eggs, IMHO.
I would put some red kote on it, you can find it at tractor supply, and IMHO I would cut the spur, unless you have em free ranging alot so he can protect the flock. Good luck
How far along are they? If you are really concerned, I would fire it back up and candle in a couple days, that way if they have stopped growing you can start again. Best of luck 🤞
I've had that happen, roughly 6-8 hours being off. It has been unplugged on accident. I just plugged back in, lost about half of them, but considering I thought I lost all of them...it was a good outcome.
I have oriental gamefowl and they are great layers....and I've had them go broody twice in a year, also they are very hardy birds, they do well in cold and hot, and very disease resistance. IMHO
I recently got a titan incubator brooder and it is awesome. The chicks would be up at night making all kind of noise with the light, but with the heater they pipe down at night and it's more natural I believe.
