We had a red cochin frizzle too (and several other types of bantams) and it was truly an odd ball. It would never act like the other chicks, walked around alone, made strange noises, squacked like crazy all day, liked to roost alone on our deck every night, etc. We thought it was a pullet, but...
Okay, I took all the hay out of their nesting boxes and kicked them out of the coop so they are hanging out in the run area. We'll see how it goes. Thanks!
We have 2 very broody Light Brahma bantams. They are sitting on empty nests and have been broody for almost a month.
I have read several posts about broody hens, but I haven't read anything about what to do with hens that are very stubborn about their broodiness and aren't sitting on eggs...
