    Water barrels?

I just thought to cover the opening with some wire. That should keep them out. I never would have thought to keep them from getting in lol

    Water barrels?

I'm thinking of laying a water barrel on its side and then cutting a small rectangular opening on what will be the top for filling purposes and then installing watering nipples along the sides. Of course I'd build a stand for it to rest on allowing my girls to reach them at a comfortable height...

    Simple PVC Feeder (PICS)

I did not glue mine just in case I wanted to move them or if I had to disassemble them to clean for any reason.

    Water warmer

I saw this on a Google search and thought I'd try it out. It actually went pretty well. I'll see how it works agter this expected cold front comes through Va tomorrow. It's basically a light socket that plugs into an outdoor extension cord with a 40 watt bulb. I lined the inside of a half cinder...

    PVC feeders

Not hard at all. I use one of those soup containers that Chinese restaurants use. They're flexible enough that I can pinch it so the feed pours in without any spilling. I just fill each tube to near capacity. I just filled them Monday and will check tomorrow to see how they are. I'm thinking of...

    PVC feeders

Have you thought about maybe adding a wooden triangular block? (similar to a door stop) I think if you put one on top of where I have my blue blocker then another blocker on top of that it might give you the angle and blockage you're looking for. I can try to sketch up the idea if you need more...

    In-coop treats

These are third season blackberries and they're thorneless. The chickens can't get to the "cane" at this point.

    In-coop treats

I was pruning our blackberry bushes today and had a few new offshoots which I dug up to transplant somewhere else. I first thought of outside the coop so that maybe they could grow up the fence and provide some shade and treats but then I had a brainstorm! I planted them inside the coop and put...
