Since there is no way of knowing how long it was cold, I would continue as usual and see if they hatch. Were the eggs cool to the touch when you found the problem?

Thank you for the information. I too use a still air bator. The humidity has been 33% constantly with a 98 to 100 temp. I will raise the humidity and hope for the best. I agree that setting eggs all at once would have been better. I have a lot to learn.

The loss of moisture causes the egg to float. As eggs get older they loose more moisture and eventually float. The float test is an indication of age, not edibility. Sounds like the eggs were attacked by bacteria and rotted.
