    Incubator disaster! Help!

Since there is no way of knowing how long it was cold, I would continue as usual and see if they hatch. Were the eggs cool to the touch when you found the problem?

I have Rhode Island red eggs but, i just seperated the hens with the rooster a week ago. Before that they were all together with the EE roo, and the RR loose in the yard during the day so it's anyone's guess what will hatch if you got them now. I'm in Des Moines and would help you out in a...

    Turkeys For 2013

Thank you for the information. I too use a still air bator. The humidity has been 33% constantly with a 98 to 100 temp. I will raise the humidity and hope for the best. I agree that setting eggs all at once would have been better. I have a lot to learn.

The turkey with the chicken on it is a standard bronze. The others are Bourbon Reds, one male and two hens. I have been breeding the Bourbon Reds and selling the chicks. They are gaining popularity amongst turkey connoisseurs as a tasteful alternative to Broad Breasted Whites.

Eggs sink in water but rotten when opened

The loss of moisture causes the egg to float. As eggs get older they loose more moisture and eventually float. The float test is an indication of age, not edibility. Sounds like the eggs were attacked by bacteria and rotted.

The Turkeys decided to roost with the hens tonight. Apparently it didn't bother one of the hens.

    He or She?

Hard to tell from the pic but my guess is rooster. The only thing you need to worry about is if you live in an area that crowing isn't allowed.

    Please help identify this rooster

Thank you for the help. Wanted to hatch some eggs from him. Not sure what to breed him with either but they should be interesting birds.
