    All of my australorps bellies are balding? All of my RIR are fine. I do not see mice or lice. They are 1 yr of age. Is this a start of molt? Havent yet experienced that. Is it due to broodiness?     This morning I found a first. A very soft egg with a separate red hard shell next to it on the poop board. The chicken laid this on the roost. I have tried to upload a photo but but for some reason it wont. Anyone have any idea whats going on?

    Well I have spotted blood on one of my hens for the first time tonight. Upon looking at her, it appears the tip of her nail has broken off. It is bleeding, but not badly. Any advice on what I should do or try? Thanks

    I got home from work tonight and one of my black australorps has started to make a squeaky noise, similiar to a squeaky dog toy?! Is this normal? I have heard an occasional light sneeze from some but this is much louder. She seems healthy and happy otherwise. Should I be concerned?

    So my husband made me a real nice bucket waterer for the run, but stuff keeps growing inside. Is there anything to put in the water that wont hurt the chickens to prevent this from growing? Thanks, Kelli
