    Keeping single hen alone?

I have a light Brahma who gets picked on. (4chickens in total) Has anyone had experience in keeping one, getting rid of other 3 and then putting 8 pullets and 2 Roos. They are 6 weeks old. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help:)

What’s your take on integrating 6 week olds with one 4 year old hen?

    Breed and gender?

I know! I don’t know how to take this because right now he really likes me and will go out of his way to “say hi” as weird as that sounds. He stays really close to me when they are out.

Using a bantam rooster for full sized hens.

So far they are pretty good it seems, but of course they are only in their 5th week of life.... but I like that idea... someone said I should keep the Roos at “arms length” so that they don’t become to much of a “pet” and will probably not become aggressive... trying to figure out how to do that...

    Breed and gender?

I was thinking so... he was labeled a pullet when I bought them... very sweet to me though. But is trying to already be a “rooster” with the girls... Anyone know how BR roosters are? Temperament?

    Breed and gender?

would someone confirm or deny my suspicions? Would you say one of these is a cockerel? The last pic is all 3 BR together. The first is a pic of 2 if them...and the one is a close up of the one in question... Thanks

Using a bantam rooster for full sized hens.

Question: if one was decided to keep a rooster, since they realized that TSC gave you a roo chick instead of a hen chick, should you keep the Barred Rock roo or the OEG silver duck wing bantam??

I can sex your pullets and cockerels!

I have 3 Barred Rock chicks. They are all 3 supposed to be hens (I got them as sexed hens)... could you give me your opinion please:) The 1st one is all of them and the other pic is the same chick but she is more feathered. They are about 4 weeks now... Thanks in advance.

    What breed are these 3

I would like some confirmation on gender. I believe one is a roo and the other 2 are hens... and do you all still think they are silver duck wing bantams? ?

    What breed are these 3

    What breed are these 3

I have 3 bantams that I am unsure what breed they may be... they are about 3 weeks old now (do they look like pullers or Roos) they are from TSC... Thanks in advance! The dark headed one has willow colored legs

    Please read

I have a Wyandotte who is less than a year old. Today I noticed that she is lethargic, puffed up and not socializing like she normally does (her crop is soft, she looks puffy and swollen though). She ate a little out of my hand but I wouldn't count it as her normal. She keeps going from spot to...
