The pictures I posted earlier were talking yesterday. Here are additional pictures I just took tonight. I think his comb and waddles are even more red than they were last night? His wings also look different than my other chicks. The others have more rows of feathers. I read this is not a...
Yes it has a straight comb. I was also thinking it is a SLW however the comb is not right for the breed. I have had suspicions that it is a cockerel even before it’s comb and waddles stated to turn red by its behavior. He is also very squirmy and won’t calm down when I hold him. I would like to...
It was in the mixed pullet bin at my local feed store and they did not know the breed. I am guessing silver laced Wyandotte also, but the comb is not right for the breed so that kind threw me off.
Pullet or cockerel? 5week old unknown breed. Slow feathering compared to my other chicks. It has even started to loose some of its chick down before the adult feathers could come in on its wings
Pullet or cockerel? 5 weeks old. I don’t know what breed it is, but it has been slow feathering compared to my other chicks. So slow that it has lost some of baby down on its wings befor the adult feathers came in .
Thank you this is very helpful! I have some starter since I have chicks too so I will add some to their food. Do you think I should mix it with the layer crumbles or just switch them entirely to grower or starter? They have a dish of oysters shells. I have thoroughly checked for parasites and...

Thank you! That is what I have read also. I just have one that has wings that look very different from the others. I’m not sure 100% on the breed but I think she is a white laced Wyandotte? 1 week 2 days.
