I was just wondering this myself today. I have always fed crumbles and they waste sooo much! What is not just scattered around turns to powder in the feeder. I have noticed the same thing with my younger ones still on starter. It seems like such a waste! I am working on making some kind...

I just seen the pic. Your ducks are gorgeous!! She does look just like them! I am now the proud owner of a Khaki Campbell! I have it figured that she is around 18-20 weeks old and so is my male Pekin. When do ducks start laying?
WOW really? Okay, I never have claimed to know a thing about ducks! LOL... My husband wants more ducks and I was thinking about Snowy Mallards. I think they are beautiful, but have not been able to find any nearby.
Your girls are beautiful!! I let mine free range from about 7am to dark on about 11 acres. Though they never go that far, they all go back to the coop to lay during the day. They are usually all done laying by noon or so.

I just got my first 8 guineas a few weeks ago! 4 of them are now 3 weeks old and the other 4 are 1 week old today. They are so funny to watch and very frightened of everything!! My first 4 were already 2 weeks old when I got my 4 little lavenders (1 day old) and for lack of anywhere else to keep...
I have a golf ball in every nest box (9). My layers are all about 2 yrs old now and they all lay in the nest boxes. The golf balls dont seem to bother them. I collect eggs 3x a day now due to snakes. We have ALOT of them in the spring and early summer!! Since I collect so often, the snakes...
