When will he grow up?

poor guy, getting picked on!

i have to admit...up until i read your post, i had this idea that maybe when kids hit 18, all the problems go away...i dont have any serious problems, except my 16 year boy is so mouthy! i cant count how many times that boy has gotten in trouble with me or his father over his mouth.

My daughter just turned 18 last month and we have never had any problems other than an occasional spout off of the mouth. My son, on the other hand, has been a terror since he was born!

As much as I hate this story, because it sounds like such bad parenting on my part, I will. The day that I decided to move him from his crib to a bed was at 5 am one morning with a foot of snow on the ground. My 14 month old son decided to wake up, pull off his warm fuzzy PJs, crawl out of his crib, and go out the front door!! I was sound asleep. Never heard a peep! My neighbor brought him home. Outside, in only a diaper, a foot of snow in January and Mommy was fast asleep! SRS would have loved that one! When he was 4 & 5, I could not turn my back on him for a second! If I went to the bathroom, he would be out the door and down the street before I could get out! When he was 14 we had to go as far as nailing his bedroom windows shut and installing an alarm system in the house to keep him from sneaking out at night. And that was after picking him up at 3 am at the juvenile detention center TWICE for being out past curfew. Thank God that is the only thing he has ever been arrested for. I know it could be much worse, but have been pulling my hair out none the less. I have surprise drug tested him many, many times and amazingly he has always passed them.
After all these years of worrying myself sick over what he was going to do next, or where he was living, and if he was eating, now I have to worry about him going to war!!! I have came to realize that the worry will never end.

for whatever reason, my oldest and youngest boy had a horrible compulsion to run outside in the nude until they hit 3 years old..i cant count the times i had to chase them down the road!

My daughter talked to his girlfriend and not only did all my children come...they all spent the night cause we dont allow drinking and driving! Not to mention it rained like crazy!!
