**Remember this is a family board no swearing / foul language and no inappropriate "Adult" topics.

seriously, kick him out and tell him to grow up and be a real man and quit messing around with his life.

Maybe it is just a personal preference with him. I am 52 and I still don't like to go to family gatherings. I hate them; I don't do family holidays or any of that stuff. I even avoid weddings and funerals if I can get away with it. I would rather spend time with family members in a less contrived situation than a party or celebration. My daughter is exactly the same way. We don't have parties or celebrate holidays with family because we both hate doing it. Maybe he just doesn't enjoy that kind of thing and would rather spend time with you alone.

No not the case its a big as BBq and beer drinking party with friends and our children and their significant others! He is totally down with this its just because he made plans with her first and then realized it was our anniversary so instead of telling her lets at least stop by ....hes being a big Jerk!

kids can be pretty selfish..but i would just go on with your party and let him keep on with his mistakes. i would seriously sit him down and tell him that he needs to work, or get out. at the very least he needs to put in a certain number of applications a day, and help out around the house to pay for his room and board. as for the girl, let them all sort that out.

Dont stress it...Let him do his thing. And when he comes to you for ANYTHING..just say NO...pretty simple if ya ask me.
